Ludum Dare 40

Some friends and I gather together for the last Ludum Dare 40. We used pico-8. The editor is quite limited in colors and sprites so in a way is perfect for this kind of short time projects.

Live model drawings

Oil paint portraits

So I got a "new" scanner, an old Epson 10000xl (yes, it's huge) and very happy with the results on this paintings. Everything looks sharp and the values and colors were well captured. The glass has some scratchs but hopefully I can get a replacemt for it on the future.

Model drawing

Working a lot lately on my model drawing, and found this one to be close to what I want to achieve in terms of dinamism, abstraction of shapes and line quality. Thinking on the lost and found edges to bring interest, on what to show and to emphasize, and which details are not needed. I struggled a bit on the second one and I think there is too much details, but again, sometimes you hit the mark, sometimes you don´t.

Hope you all like it!

Betcee May

It's been a while since the last update, but I was working on something that I hope I can say more about it soon. But for now, here are some drawings I did last week. I enjoyed working on them, trying to create a pictorial, volumetric sense only with pencil and white gouache.

Quickposes 01

Hi guys, this is an exercise propoused by to take 20 poses in a run (you can choose the time and the subject). Is a really cool warm up, and a way to let your strokes flow. So it's a really good thing; you can also post your results at

I just finished my first one, so what are you waiting for??
